Working closely with director Matt Reeves, production designer James Chinlund developed a vision of Gotham grounded in psychological realism — a view of the city lensed through Bruce Wayne’s character, the spaces he would inhabit, the world he would build around himself. The production was a work of orchestration on a vast scale, integrating stage sets, a large backlot build, real locations, and pioneering LED volume work into a cohesive and singular visual world.
